Elevators Open And Close

Open and close buttons on a Japanese elevators
Nothing is a no-brainer for me. Sometimes I need it spelled out. After a few trips up and down an elevator I did start to figure out one thing. Green means open and black means close. The characters look very similar, so this was an easy way for me to remember.
Of course Dek figured it out right away. He is not even two.
So one day when you are confused, you can look back on this and have your ah-ha moment too.

I think if you had paid attention to the Braille, it might have been even easier to figure out!

Problem with Braille is it was rubbed down on a lot of the elevators we rode or too small for a quick look with a squirmy baby.

Yep, I would have been confused, while my kids had no problems at all. I routinely ask them to do technical stuff for me. It’s a blow to the ego, but at least it gets the job done.
