Happy 4th of July

July 4, 2012

Holidays, Seattle

Happy U.S. Independence Day everyone. I will be celebrating on the Pacific ocean for the first time in my life. We are all very excited to hit the beach, but since it’s in the Pacific Northwest, we are also praying that Dek’s toes won’t fall off when he runs straight in thinking it’s warm and tropical. Poor kid is in for a surprise. Stay tuned for one heck of a recap.

How are you celebrating the 4th this year?

Make sure you take plenty of pictures whatever you do.

And for those of you not in the U.S., how’s your week so far? Any big plans for the weekend?

Special thanks to my friend Rob for this amazing shot of fireworks on a turned over pot. We had an awesome BBQ a couple of years back with a bunch of friends, some of whom were expats and had no idea why everyone decided to be a little extra nuts one day each summer. They soon got into the spirit though.  Hop over to Wordless Wednesday for more photo fun.
