CityPASS Could Make Your Travels Just a Little Bit Cheaper

CityPASS Could Make Your Travels Just a Little Bit Cheaper

Earlier this summer my aunt and uncle come out for a visit with my cousin’s kids. They wanted to see as much of Seattle as possible. Exploring Seattle can get pretty pricey. To save a little cash they picked up 4 CityPASS booklets. This gave them access to the Space Needle, Seattle Aquarium, Woodland Park Zoo, Pacific Science Center, EMP Museum, Museum of Flight and Argosy Cruises Seattle Harbor Tour.

Seattle Aquarium

An adult pass cost my aunt and uncle $69 each and lasted 9 days from first date of issue. They were able to skip most ticket lines and just head right into an attraction, invaluable if you are trying to go up to the top of the Space Needle on a clear day.

Let’s do a little math. The Space Needle cost me, who did not have a CityPASS, $19 to go up. The aquarium is $19.95 and the zoo costs $17.75. Already I am up to almost $57 and I haven’t even gotten to the EMP or Pacific Science Center.

Obviously this is a pretty darn good deal.

My family was able to save a bundle and cram in a lot of sights in the limited amount of time they were in town.

  3. This would be really nice for Seattle since we go there all the time but still haven’t seen many of the great attractions there!

  4. How awesome are you?! I’m actually going to NYC (for my first time) in September and have been looking at a city pass. Even the Seattle one would be great. I’m in Portland, OR and visit Seattle all the time to see my BFF! Thanks for this giveaway.

  5. I have been dying to take Kaija to the Science Center and I’ve never been to the EMP! So many fun things to do with a CityPass!

  6. Could easily use it in Atlanta or Boston. Love, Love, Love CityPASS! Great Deal for travelers to their cities.

I would love a citypass for NYC or Boston – a great way, even as a local, to actually go experience all the great touristy aspects of the city!

Just Booked NYC today so this would be an amazing bonus!!!

  11. Ideally, I’d love to visit Seattle again. I just loved Seattle. But since I’ve already been there I guess I’d say Chicago. I’m itching to go somewhere I’ve never been. It’s not too far from home and would make a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I.

  14. I would use it in Seattle, to give my 4 year old some alone time as he just got new twin siblings.

  15. I do believe I’d want the NYC City Pass! I never get into the. It’s often enough or get to see everything we want to.

  16. Depends on how quickly we’d have to use them but Atlanta’s closest…LOL ;)

This could be a good excuse to take a trip…does it defeat the purpose of getting a free pass if you have to purchase a flight in order to use it??

Seattle for myself… or maybe Chicago, as a gift for a friend! Can I decide when I win? ;)

  19. Seattle would probably be the most useful ones for us. It comes with a personal escort from you right Keryn?

    • Most definitely Steve. I would be mighty annoyed if you came to town and didn’t let me try to throw you off the Space Needle. Whoops…did I just say that ;-) Just don’t bring the bad weather with you!
