Friday Photo Flashback: First Two Years of Family Travel

August 30, 2012

Friday Photo, Seattle

I have a lot of photos. That is putting it mildly. I’ve taken tens of thousands of photos since my dad first handed me a camera when I was 8 years old. For the rest of the summer, and maybe beyond, I’m going to dive into my archives and rediscover a few fun adventures I’ve taken over the years with and without my family. Just a little something to add some oomph to your Friday as you head into the weekend.

Snoqualmie Falls, Skagit Tulip Festival, Mt. Rainier and the Great Wall of China (February – December 2010)

It’s hard to believe by Dek will be 3 years old soon. The time has flown by at times and crawled during others. I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the family travel we have done, both near and far, before he was even two years old. A reverse bucket list if you will. Family photos of all of us together are few and far between but here are a few of my favorites.

Who doesn’t have a shot of their kid like this? (Hoboken, NJ 2011)

Great photos – great memories. Its one thing i miss is not having my photos on my walls to see whenever I walk past!

I have lots of places that I want to explore with my boys – and lots of adventures waiting to happen.

Love that you guys have travelled while your kids are so young….wished we had thought to be that smart! Sure is a great way to raise kids.

Very sweet. I agree, sometimes time does seem to crawl, but by the time they’re teenagers you’ll wonder what happened.

Wow, you have really traveled around! The Great Wall is on my bucket list…can’t imagine how that flight would be with a toddler though. We are about to fly 13 hours to Japan, and quite nervous about it with a 2 year old in tow
