TASTE of Bananas Foster from Arnauds Restaurant New Orleans

 In Food, Restaurants, USA

Welcome to TASTE, a delicious part of Walking On Travels that will give you ideas for your next dining adventure with or without your kids. For many of us, we loved checking out the latest restaurant before we had kids, but we forgot about food after the baby was born. It is time to reignite those taste buds and get excited about what is out there to be devoured and enjoyed.

What: Bananas Foster

WhereArnaud’s Restaurant, 813 Bienville Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70112

Why: How can bananas and ice cream end up tasting like fluffy marshmallows? We may never know, but the staff a Arnaud’s Restaurant in New Orleans (quite a famous spot!) has been dishing up this sweet treat for years. Their Bananas Foster is filled with cinnamon and sweet goodness that melts in your mouth when you serve it over ice cream. Not a big fan of bananas? Me either, but it was no problem. This dessert doesn’t have that overpowered taste of bananas that you normally get in Bananas Foster. The cinnamon, liquor and cream take over. So dig in and enjoy. And yes, you can call this your fruit for the day. After all, it does have a banana in it!

If you have a favorite morsel you discovered during your wanderings that you would like to share, please be in touch. I’m always looking to highlight the best bites around.
