5 ways to preserve your best travel photos
Travel photos. We all take them whether it’s on our phone, dSLR, GoPro, underwater camera, disposable camera (yes, they still make those) or point and shoot. Most of your best travel photos will be dumped onto your computer or stay trapped inside a memory card and phone. But what if there was a better way. What if you could get those incredible travel photos out of your camera and onto your wall, with little effort and a bit of creativity? It’s possible, and I’ll show you how.
Frame your best travel photos
My walls are filled with travel memories. Some are framed artwork we have picked up during our travels, while others are cool travel photos I’ve taken of my husband and kids in fabulous destinations. I love to matte and frame my images, but the larger those images get, the harder it is for me to frame them, which is why I turn to CanvasPop. I recently got the chance to check them out and I wasn’t disappointed. The photo printing is superb, and as a lady who has had to print her own work in the past on large-scale digital printers, I expect excellent color when someone else prints my travel pics. My 16×20 print from Scotland came beautifully framed and packaged so well that no harm could come to the glass or edges of the photo frame. When there was a small problem with the matte, customer service was able to rush out a new framed print to replace it in time for the holidays. Phew! Great service and one of my best travel photos printed on a large scale make me a very happy lady.

Make a travel photo book
Earlier this year I worked with MyPublisher to show off our family road trip across the U.S. After our trip to Europe, I turned to MyPublisher once again to make a beautiful photo album for my parents surrounding our Scotland road trip and I’ll be wrapping up a long overdue travel photo album from our Spain 2013 road trip very soon. Why do I turn to MyPublisher when there are so many other companies printing photo books out there, some even for less money? It’s all about the quality. They use higher end materials and their color printing is superior to their competitors. Their photo album building software is also very intuitive and easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Travel photo calendar
Tearaway calendars aren’t just for a phrase or word of the day anymore. Relive your travels over and over again with a small calendar highlighting your best travel photos from Instagram or your camera. Social Print Studio offers three different layouts and thicker paper, which will make this calendar last all year, and can also double as prints to hang on your wall long after the date has come and gone.

DIY Travel Photo Map
If you are crafty, you can grab your favorite country or world map and start pinning. Print out your vacation photos, attach a string to it via glue or a pin, and connect that string to the spot on the map that it was taken. This is a great way to show off your travels to your friends, decorate a teen’s room with a lifetime of travel memories, or hang in your office to remind you that there are warm, sunny beaches out there in the world when you are freezing all winter long.

Travel Photo Magnets
While Christmas ornaments are great for hanging on the tree, remember your travels all year round when you open your fridge. Small magnets create a travel collage over time. Large photo magnets make a great gift for grandma so she can track where you have been and see the grandkids every day.

Many thanks to CanvasPop for sending a 16×20 matted and framed print for the purposes of review. As previously mentioned, I have also received a product sample from MyPublisher. As always, my opinions are my own. I will never promote a product I can’t stand behind. This post includes affiliate links to a few products that I stand behind.
