Celebrate Halloween with Three Feet of Sunshine

 In Events, Washington

It’s that time of year again. Time for kids to dress up and scare their parents with how much candy they can eat before bedtime.

Kidding…sort of.

It is also the time of year to start giving back to your community. Do you know where to go?

Three Feet of Sunshine’s 4th Annual Monster Bash, benefiting Seattle Children’s Pediatric Advanced Care Team, will take place on Saturday, October 27th from 3-7pm at St. Stephen’s Church in Seattle.

Three Feet of Sunshine was established by Amy and Klane White in July 2009 in memory of their 8-year-old daughter, Susannah, who spent the last year of her life at Seattle Children’s Hospital, in the care of the palliative and nursing teams.

Kids of all ages can help raise money and awareness for future generations of children at Seattle Children’s hospital, and play at the same time.

Little ghouls and goblins can creep through the haunted house, take a pony for a ride, participate in ghoulish games and prizes, creepy crafts, pumpkin decorating, and a costume contest and parade.

If that hasn’t convinced you to come on down, how about a kid-friendly DJ and a dancing while stuffing your face with cotton candy?

Bring a new, unused costume to the event for a Seattle Children’s patient and receive an extra special trick-or-treat.

To make things even more exciting everyone will get to munch on a Halloween-themed Trophy Cupcake, arguably one of the best cupcake shops in the city.

Plus Craven Farms will provide all kids with their very own pumpkins to take home (sorry parents. You’ll have to convince the kids to share.)

So what are you waiting for? Great cause and a lot of sugary goodness- what more could you ask for?

Know Before You Go

How are you helping your community this Halloween?

A very special thank you to my friend Julie for her help writing this post. As a member of the Seattle Children’s Hospital staff this organization is very near and dear to her heart. I was thrilled to spread the word. Photos courtesy of Jason Sussman.
