TASTE of berry bread pudding at Highlands DC

 In Food, Restaurants, USA

Welcome to TASTE, a delicious part of Walking On Travels that will give you ideas for your next dining adventure with or without your kids. For many of us, we loved checking out the latest restaurant before we had kids, but we forgot about food after the baby was born. It is time to reignite those taste buds and get excited about what is out there to be devoured and enjoyed.

What: Berry bread pudding

Where: Highlands, 4706 14th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011

Why: It’s no secret that I have fallen in love with bread pudding over the past year. Actually it all started with a guava bread pudding French toast. While checking out a new (for us) brunch spot called Highlands DC in Washington, D.C., I saw that berry bread pudding was on the menu. How could I resist? I thought my sons would eat it, but they were more interested in my eggs and French toast. No problem! This berry bread pudding held its structure without being too dry. The berries gave it a burst of flavor and that warm bread warmed us up on a cold winter’s day. Heaven!
