TASTE of Pear and Ricotta Pasta Fiocci at the Spotted Dog Zion

 In Food, Restaurants, USA

Welcome to TASTE, a delicious part of Walking On Travels that will give you ideas for your next dining adventure. For many of us, we loved checking out the latest restaurant before we had kids. We forgot about food after the baby was born though. It is time to reignite those taste buds at the Spotted Dog Zion. Let’s get excited about what is out there to be devoured and enjoyed.

What: Pear and Ricotta Pasta Ficchi- Little purses of pasta filled with ricotta and pears topped with clarified sage infused butter and sliced almonds- found at the Spotted Dog (Zion).

Where: Spotted Dog, 428 Zion Park Blvd, Springdale, Utah

Why: Can I gush for a moment about pasta or would that be too weird? These little pockets of heaven were filled with sweet pear and ricotta, and given an extra crunch with the sliced almonds. The sage really brought the flavors home. Sometimes this type of pasta is too rich, but these pouches were perfectly balances and the butter didn’t overpower. Was it dinner? Was it dessert? My mouth is still deciding.
