Travel Style Picks

There are certain things a woman on the go should never travel without. These are stylish travel essentials you might already own, but just in case you need something new before your next trip –  here are a few of my recommendations. From one stylish nomad to another!

Crossbody Bag

If you are a serious traveler then you already know that a good quality crossbody bag will take you far! You want your crossbody bag to be small but just large enough to hold the daily essentials (wallet, sunglasses, smartphone, room key, map and small beauty items). Crossbody bags are perfect when you are out sightseeing, shopping or going out on the town at night. Not to mention the safest option when in crowded cities or places. Choose one that is a neutral color that can go with many outfits.

Battery Charging iphone Case

Nothing is worse than your phone’s battery dying while traveling. Taking photos is so important to our travels and you don’t want to miss a moment or not get that perfect shot. Which is why I am obsessed with my  Tech 21 Evo Endurance Charging Case. Not only does it provide a 60% extra charge, but protects my phone with the FlexShock. It’s also one of the thinnest battery charging cases on the market and very lightweight.

Cosmetic Bag / Tech Case

I realize this is a cosmetic bag by Petunia Pickle Bottom is made for make-up and other toiletries, but I use it for all my tech accessories. I put all my chargers, cords and adaptors in here. Not only are they the perfect size and shape, but are super sturdy and totally waterproof. I love the new “Gardens of Gillingham” print. Who says tech stuff has to be plain and boring?!

Chic Sunglasses

I can’t leave my house without sunglasses, so clearly these are an important part of packing my carry on or handbag before a trip. Sunglasses are very important if you are traveling to a sunny destination. No one wants to squint to have to see the sights. Sunglasses are not to be worn just for the sake of fashion, they actually do protect your eyes from harmful UV rays, so don’t forget them!

Boyfriend Jeans

Boyfriend jeans are now a travel staple. They go everywhere with me and are almost as important as my phone. Boyfriend jeans are great because they are comfortable and can be dressed up or down. Wear them on the plane with cute sneakers then dress them up with some black heels for dinner on the town.

Comfortable & Cute Walking Shoes

You can still head out for the day with a pair of stylish shoes on your feet. No need to wear your sneakers (unless you have a cool pair worthy of the streets). Finding a comfortable and cute pair of shoes can be a challenge, but it can be done. Oxford’s are pretty trendy right now, but they’re a great choice for travel because they are casual, cute and comfy. I like these Oxford’s because there is a small platform to make me a little taller.

Cashmere Scarf / Wrap

No big surprise here. You must have a scarf or pashmina when you travel. I don’t care if you are going to the desert or the tropics – you need to bring a scarf. The plane is usually freezing and there is always so much air conditioning blowing in restaurants that you will want to have a scarf. A scarf can also instantly turn a casual outfit into a chic one, in case you weren’t planning on going to the world’s fanciest restaurant, now at least you can cover up your white t-shirt and blend in.
